Heya guys !!! Looong time :) Huff !! I had told you that Week 1 at my new job was hectic !! Week 2 was even more !! Atleast the first week was the Induction program , but this week , the training classes began and it was pretty tiring to say the least !! Although im having great fun with my set of guys & gals , the timings are just too much to take ! Although work hours are just from 9 to 6 , i have to take the bus in the morning at 7.30 and i reach home only after 8.30 !! Anyway am geting used to it now - and i just hope i can allocate some time each day for my blog in the coming weeks !!

Now coming to the Happy news ! As i logged in today , i found out that my blog had reached 299 posts !! :) So this is the "300" th one !! :) It truly has been a great journey these past 4 months !! Blogging has done so much to me ! I have got to know a lotta stuff about various countries and cultures , done away with 4 months of impending boredom , earned lotssss - even more than what i wd ve earned through a part time job and finally - the greatest of it all - Earned Friends for life !! Its been really a Looooooooooooong wait for us here in Chennai , this year !! Though almost all other places on the Northern hemisphere were deep into their Monsoon or Autumn seasons , with heavy rains - almost everyday , and even lotsa places in North India were affected by heavy rains and floods , we people here in Chennai had to wait for the monsoon to set in !! But all we got was an extended summer with the Sun scorching on us even in a usually wet-September !! But this past wednesday, it was a joyous occasion for all of us Chennaiites - and i was there to capture it all :)

It all began at around 5 PM in the evening , when i had some distubances with my DTH Satellite connection ! Thats when i saw through the window and felt like it was night already !! I usually get excited by this kinda atmosphere , and i immediately ran upto my "Bald-Floor" ! He he.. thats the literal English translation of "Motta-maadi" , the term used in Tamil for "Terrace" !

At first , it seemed only a portion of the sky had got dark !!

But soon , the entire sky started turning dark and almost became pitch black !!


It started Drizzling ! After getting wet for sometime in the drizzle , i had to get into my home as the rain started pouring in !! :)

It immediately started raining cats and dogs !! This was a pic i took when the rain had eased a bit !! And again it started off in sometime!

Hmmm , So i just hope , that this rain stays for a long time , and helps Chennai to avoid a water crisis that it usually suffers from in Summer , and also helps solving the on-going Power crisis !!

DAY AFTER TOMORROW - Marks a new episode in my life !! Am joining my first Job as a Software Analyst in Cognizant Technology Solutions ! So last week , as a part of getting ready for work , me and my folks went on a huge Shopping Spree that left my Dad's pocket as empty as Paris Hilton's pool of talent ! :) Here are the stuff that we, or rather , I grabbed home ! :)

First Stop , "The Durable chrome Factory" , a Shoe and Leather articles store near my home , to get me a pair of Leather Shoes , cotton socks and also a leather belt !!






Oh yeah , also got my Office bag , at the same place !! I hate this bag - but that was the best thing available there :( Others looked more cheaper than this !! :p But after i had spent whole lots on the shoe , i had to settle for this Cheap bag :)



Huff ! Done for the day !! Next day , we landed up at "The Chennai Silks" , the place where we usually buy our clothes !! Its known for its impressive array of apparels with reasonable pricing and hassle-free selection facilities !


Since we are allowed to wear Casuals to college , i dont have much Formal wear at home !! So i had to start from scratch ! And hence picked up 5 Formal Business Shirts !!



All of em are Full-sleeves and have light single stripes (which are nt visible here) ! Although i like em all , my favourite one is this !! The Orange one ! Which one's your favt ??? :)

PS - My mom chose a Pink shirt for me !! But am i supposed to prove to her that am Not , errr , you know what ??! :p



In our company , like many other companies , we have "Casual Fridays" , where in we are allowed to wear casuals to office !! I have a lotta T shirts at home , so picked up something different , Two half sleeved casual shirts !!



Din i say "TWO" casual shirts ?!! Only one is here !! Where is the other ????
