Heya guys !!! Looong time :) Huff !! I had told you that Week 1 at my new job was hectic !! Week 2 was even more !! Atleast the first week was the Induction program , but this week , the training classes began and it was pretty tiring to say the least !! Its been really a Looooooooooooong wait for us here in Chennai , this year !! Though almost all other places on the Northern hemisphere were deep into their Monsoon or Autumn seasons , with heavy rains - almost everyday , and even lotsa places in North India were affected by heavy rains and floods , we people here in Chennai had to wait for the monsoon to set in !! But all we got was an extended summer with the Sun scorching on us even in a usually wet-September !! But this past wednesday, it was a joyous occasion for all of us Chennaiites - and i was there to capture it all :)

It all began at around 5 PM in the evening , when i had some distubances with my DTH Satellite connection ! Thats when i saw through the window and felt like it was night already !! I usually get excited by this kinda atmosphere , and i immediately ran upto my "Bald-Floor" ! He he.. thats the literal English translation of "Motta-maadi" , the term used in Tamil for "Terrace" !

At first , it seemed only a portion of the sky had got dark !!

But soon , the entire sky started turning dark and almost became pitch black !!


It started Drizzling ! After getting wet for sometime in the drizzle , i had to get into my home as the rain started pouring in !! :)

It immediately started raining cats and dogs !! This was a pic i took when the rain had eased a bit !! And again it started off in sometime!

Hmmm , So i just hope , that this rain stays for a long time , and helps Chennai to avoid a water crisis that it usually suffers from in Summer , and also helps solving the on-going Power crisis !!

DAY AFTER TOMORROW - Marks a new episode in my life !! Am joining my first Job as a Software Analyst in Cognizant Technology Solutions ! So last week , as a part of getting ready for work , me and my folks went on a huge Shopping Spree that left my Dad's pocket as empty as Paris Hilton's pool of talent ! :) Here are the stuff that we, or rather , I grabbed home ! :)

First Stop , "The Durable chrome Factory" , a Shoe and Leather articles store near my home , to get me a pair of Leather Shoes , cotton socks and also a leather belt !!






Oh yeah , also got my Office bag , at the same place !! I hate this bag - but that was the best thing available there :( Others looked more cheaper than this !! :p But after i had spent whole lots on the shoe , i had to settle for this Cheap bag :)



Huff ! Done for the day !! Next day , we landed up at "The Chennai Silks" , the place where we usually buy our clothes !! Its known for its impressive array of apparels with reasonable pricing and hassle-free selection facilities !


Since we are allowed to wear Casuals to college , i dont have much Formal wear at home !! So i had to start from scratch ! And hence picked up 5 Formal Business Shirts !!

Wednesday , September 10th was not only a happy day for me since i got my Date of Joining , but it was also a Special day for a special person !! It was my Mom's birthday !! All these years , i have never bought any gift for her and many years i have nt even remembered her b'day ! So a week before that , i sneaked out of my house with my newly acquired Debit Card which holds all my Blog earnings and bought a Mobile Phone - the first ever thing i bought from my blog earnings ! A latest model Nokia 1680 - a basic color mobile with a VGA Camera . I left that mobile in my friend's place , and it stayed there for a week.

On tuesday night , i got the mobile phone from him , and with the help of my dad - hid it outside my home so that my mom does nt see it :) At 12.00 AM , we woke her up from her deep sleep and me and dad gifted her the mobile !! :) Well she was overwhelmed by this gesture from her son - whom she had thought was only suited to be Prodigal :p She told more than the Gift , my thought of remembering her b'day and wishing was much more worthy !! It was a tough day for me last Sunday ! It was the last time i was to meet with three of my best friends from the past 4 years of college life ! All three of em had got into the same company and they were all leaving the city the next day , in order to join their Work training !! As i started back home after meeting them , a sudden stroke of loneliness set upon me ! Thoughts on how am gonna miss them these upcoming days ! With these thoughts occupying my mind - i reached the bus stop ! And after some time , the bus to my home came ! As i got in , well, i don know whether it was co-incidence or "Mr.Irony" pointing his fingers at me - telling me that "You're Lonely" - i found even the bus was completely empty (ofcourse the Driver was there:), leaving me all alone & Lonely for the entire 20 minute ride home ! :)

Oh yeah , its been a loooong day for me in front of my PC !! It was one of those record breaking days in PPP where , almost 20 posts were available to be taken(although PPP allows only 3 posts per blog per day) !! Last sunday evening, i went to the Marina Beach , here in Chennai , for a get-together with my class mates ! Well , as usual , i landed up EARLY at the spot(which almost seems like a bad habit now to me) !! So while waiting for my other friends - i sat on the newly built side walk on the shore to enjoy some lone moments with Mama-Nature ! That's when three kids came up to the place where i was sitting with a Toy car and few stones and started playing their own version of Ten Pin Bowling ! :)



From their look - anyone could say that they were very poor and most probably orphans too ! But that did nt seem to affect their game as they proceeded to play like professionals !! :) After enjoying their game of Bowling - i was about to leave, when the youngest of the lot (the one with no clothes on) came to me begging for some money ! Well - i dont usually encourage beggars(who we have lotsss in India) by giving them money ! But then this time around- something urged me to reach my pockets and get them some change ! Maybe i was feeling very sorry for them or maybe the thought that these merry souls entertained and engaged me for the past 15 minutes !! As i left the place , thoughts of reality hung over me - the fact that like these 3 , there are still millions of such kids who beg to live here in India - a so called I.T Giant and developing nation - where many of its Children still beg to survive ! :-|
