The Dark Knight - MindBlowing !!! but Stilllll.......

I went into the theater - still unrecovered from the shock on how this movie had hit No.1 in the IMDBs All Time list of movies (see here), beating my favorites such as Shawshank redemption,God father and Pulp fiction , etc - after all its "just a super hero movie" !!

But then as i walked out after watching this movie , i felt , SURE it was a Damn great movie !!! THE Best Super hero movie i ve ever watched in my life(the previous was Batman Begins - its predecessor) !! The closest a superhero movie can get to a Normal-life drama packed with emotions and psychological brilliance !! The best movie of the year so far !! THE Best Performance by a villain i have seen ever since Sir Anthony Hopkin's portrayal of Hannibal Lectar in The Silence of the Lambs !! Am sure that Ledger would get the second ever Posthumous Oscar in history !! MAN ! What a performance ! Got no words to describe him !! And a surprise package in the form of Aaron Eckhart - his performance was the 2nd best in the movie which was filled with characters playing their roles perfectly !! Although CG was good , i felt it could have been even more good , especially during the fight sequences !! The same was with the Background score !! And finally , the climax was great too !


BUTTTT , Are we missing an important point somewhere ??? HMMMM.... Is this what movies are all about ???! Comic book adaptation !! Unrealistic plot !! Over the top characters !! Aint Real movies are those which depict Human life & Reality - the human sense , emotions, behaviour , psychology,etc ??! Hmmmm.. I leave it that to your discussion !! Although i Stand by my Point !! I loved this movie but it does nt deserve to be on top of Shawshank redemption - No movie can ever have a SOUL to it like Shawshank did - Nor on top of the Godfather - Although its an oscar winnin performance from Ledger , NONE can beat Brando and Pacino as The Corleaones - Nor can it beat Pulp fiction - with Quentin's stunning dialogues and story-telling !! SO , May be it may deserve to be in the Top 10 , but definitely NOT No.1 !!! Hope that day comes soon ! :)

Haha, who went out and watch the Dark Knight? KC... Who said, this movie doesn't deserve the praises and applause from the crowd? KC. Well, whatever it is, I'll just put it this way... Tell me about it?

I can't get my husband watch this movie with me. His initial reaction was "crap".. and I never even gave a second thought about it.

Anyway, when it gets to the one dollar theater, I may watch it. Now, since it's just released, it's $7.90 to watch it. Dang!

He he :) You read my full review right ?!! Its a good movie only , but not as good as its projected by the ppl !! Thats what i meant :)

And think you ll like the movie too ! you have to watch t atleast for Heath Ledger !! I may watch it again , ONLY for him !! :)

ANd Oh.. One ticket cost 8$ ???!! he he.. Here , even in the best of theaters , tickets does nt cost more than 3$ !! :)

Yeah, all the new released movies here are $7.90 but when the movie is over, you can jump into another film-showing.

It's crazy but I don't hop from one movie to another, only if I really feel that I made a mistake choosing that movie.

Mamma Mia was $7.90. I paid for two. I thought my hubby would treat me. No he didn't.. Grrrr... deductable expenses. Since he is the owner of the other company I work with. I demand that he pays me back. Hahaha!

KC!! Your review was ON POINT!! I went to go see the movie last night, and I agree that while it was AWESOME AWESOME AWESOME it still wasn't awesome enough to make the top. At least, not the top of my list. Of course, I'm writing my own (not to put yours out of business or anything LOL) so stop by and read it!
