First i need to agree that i never was a fan of these War movies !! Films like Pearl harbour , Black hawk down or Behind Enemy Lines never appealed to me much -the main reason maybe because i could nt connect with the Emotions of the movie and its characters - who were often patriotic American soldiers !! But this perspective of me completely changed after i watched this flick !! I actually landed upon this movie while browsing through the filmography of Francis ford Coppola- more famous for none other than his GodFather - And when i found out that even Marlon Brando is in it , i immediately downloaded it and watched !

And to my pleasant surprise , i found that the movie was there - making a huge Anti-war statement !! And this is one of the main reasons i loved this movie , as a person who was fed up with movies that glorified war and held it up in sanctity !! And the second thing that made me to love it was how that Anti-war statement was made through a gripping screenplay that revolves around a dialogue between its protoganists Brando and Sheen !! And finally ofcourse the acting by Brando(whose acting although is not as gripping as in the Godfather) and especially Martin Sheen !!
