Now someone temme why this flick aint there at the top ?!!! Cos its jus yet another comedy ??!! Ahn - aaahn !!! It aint just another comedy !! Its one of the most intelligent-ly made movies of our times !! Comedy and humour is just a tool used by Sacha Baron Cohen to prove across to ppl - especially Americans about the many number of Racial Taboos and Slurs thats drawn in the in-walls of their society !! OK then , Enough of the Intellectual Shit !! For God's sake its one one of the DAMN FUNNIEST movies i ve ever seen !! Well , it may be even because i have nt seen his TV shows on the ALi-G show before i watched this movie ! after watchin this , i raided youtube to watch all his episodes on the ALi-G show !! :) One of the reasons i think Borat aint at the top may be the second half of the movie - when he goes in search of "Pam" to marry her !! Although the stuff is funny it aint that intellectual or though provoking like the first half issues !! Theres nothing more to say than that its a towering achievement in comedy and by creating an Anti-semitic , misogynist and bigoted character Borat aptly embodies all kindsa racy taboos !! I just cant stop watchin it ! :)

This is one of the funniest movie i have ever seen.. but other than dealing with the racist issue,its denigrating theme on Kazakhstan might be the only reason why critics did not rate it among the top 250. Other than that i dont think there is anyother reason for it not being in that list..

I'm really happy that i watched it...

Hmmm , may be becos of that , But i do think the 2nd half was somewhat flawed.. The Pamela episode,etc - although were hilarious , there was nt much "intellectual" about it - like i found in the first half ! Anyway yeah , even am glad that i watched it ! I would rate it next only to Charlie Chaplins Dictator and Dr.Strangelove in the category of Real life Parodies..

Am now looking fwd to Bruno - Cohen's next Parody !!

Hey Kc, I read your Borat post just now while scrolling your entire blog's first page.

You know what, it's funny that my husband and I watched Borat of Kazakhstan. He thinks the movie was sooo funny. But I disagree with my hubby.

This movie has got a lot of "off colored" jokes. You know what I mean? Too many foul languages and scenes. Like Borat himself fucking the "Black" fat prostiture in America. HE also said to one governor he is interviewing that he can go to Kazahkstan and sleep with Borat's sister.. Ewe, so yucky!

The ugliest thing in the movie is when Borat's partner (the fat guy) tries to make love with Pamela Anderson Lee on his imagination, merely looking at the magazine photos of her. So gross!

ALthough I didn't want to finish the movie, I have to, because my husband's watching it and I have to watch him ~ I am a strict wifey, heheheh!

Oh yeah, Borat also sang America's National Anthem and changed the entire lyrics towrds the second sentence, hehehe! Drove the fans away!

Yeah Bridge.. I do agree it had many "off-colour" jokes that women may not totally approve off !! :) But the movie was much more than just those off color / B grade jokes !! It was a complete Parody Mocking all the racial and religious taboos in the US and in the world like against the jews and the gays and the islamic ppl ..

And Kudos to your hubby Tom ! I thought many Americans wd dislike it cos its very much targeted at them ! But he thought it was funny ? Kooool !! Cos i ve studied that ppl who know to laugh at themselves are pure at heart !! :)
