As i was thinking on which movie should be in my next "Looking beyond the 250" section , i got stuck into this interesting discussion going on in my fellow Blogger Brigida's new post on Aged ppl-especially her 91 year old mom-in-law who is still live and kickin !! And immediately this was the movie that came to my mind - one that i saw few months back after my friend reco-ed it to me ! When i asked him the gist - he said - "Two old men suffering from Cancer go out to enjoy the world" ! I was like , "WTF ! Thats like YUCK" !! :) But after i saw the movie , i understood why my friend had liked it soo much !! Its like one heck of a lesson for life !

Although the script is somewhat week , its the two protagonists Jack Nicholson and Morgan Freeman - that make you to sit through the entire movie without a least pain on your rearside ! Both men laugh and cry and change in subtle ways that make this , not a silly act of denying death but rather a celebration of love through friendship, regardless of the grim future. Another thing that makes you love this movie are its wonderful and meaning-filled dialogues engrossed in life's lessons - for ex , Freeman says "You measure yourself by the people who measure themselves by you" !

So , although Bucket list aint deserving of a place in the Top 250 - its the perfect movie to watch when you are low and down on your knees , with pessimistic thoughts runnin all over your mind ! It sure puts a smile on your face and on your mind !! :)
