This is the only movie - i can say that- " i hated myself for liking it" !! I watched it one day when i was bored to the most - had nothing to do - that i watched this movie that i never wanted to watch !! One of the reasons was - among the dumb Hollywood romantic comedies - this one was purely romantic without any kinda comedy associated with it ! Another reason for my dislike was the gist of the story that i heard from my friend - "Boy meets gal - Gal likes boy - Boy does nt like gal - When boy finally likes gal , he comes to know gal has cancer " ! I was like YUCK - thats even more worse than a Bollywood romantic movie !! But then , at the end of the movie - i started hating myself so much because i had actually liked the movie so much !! :) May be mainly beacuse of the performances of the two leads Shane West and Mandy Moore ! Also it is the film's very simplicity and lack of pretension that lends to it ! For ppl who like this movie , i would suggest P.S.I love you - which will be my next movie on "Looking beyond the 250".

PS : There are many beautiful songs in the movie ! Few by Mandy moore herself ! Next to KillBill - this is one of the best movie soundtracks i ve heard ! My most favt song from the movie is this one - "Only hope" !
