Living in India , i dont get a chance to go on costly vacations often !! So its been a long time since i went to the US ! It was during 1996 that i visited Atlanta,Georgia to witness the Summer Olympics 96 held there , and stayed with my uncle who lives in Downtown Atlanta ! It truly was an unforgettable experience and will live in my memory for always ! Although the Olympic games were held only in the Centennial park , near the CNN Center and Philips arena - i also had the oppurtunity to go to the various hot spots of Atlanta City !! Some of the places i went around include the various parks such as the Kennesaw Mountain National Park, Grant Park and the Atlanta Botanical Garden !! A funny incident during my Atlanta tours was going to "Mission Impossible" at the Atlanta Fabulous Fox theater !! :) I was a great Tom Cruise fan then and i Whistled loudly when he appeared on screen - thinking i was sitting in a theater here in India :p ALmost everyone in the theater looked back at me ! :p And another great attraction that i visited in atlanta is the Underground Atlanta where it is very easy to get lost !!
